The Sicotte Family moved from Sherrington, PQ, Canada to settle in Waltham, Massachusaetts around the turn of the 20th Century to take advanage of steady employment opportunities in the mills and factories that had sprung up in Waltham along the Charles River. This blog consists of postings from the descendants of the original settlers.
Ideal Cleaners was the name of the dry cleaning business that Ernest and Lawrence began after serving in World War II. It began in Cambridge, Mass. and moved to Waltham in 1949, locaing in the upper part of Moody Street.
ReplyDeleteI have many fond memories of working for Ernest and Lawrence part time while in school in the 1950's, mostly helping Ernest on the pickup and delivery truck.
